When Captain Falcon demands “show me your moves,” who are we to say no? In this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast, we’re covering all sorts of moves. • Episode 275: Sports Tryouts

Think of this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast as a sport. In the first quarter, we discuss the just-revealed Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The second quarter is dedicated to sports games themselves, from Switch Sports and MLB The Show 22 to the genre as a whole. Our third quarter shifts to fighting games with the upcoming Capcom Fighting Collection. The fourth quarter focuses on the announced closure of the 3DS and Wii U eShops and which games to download while you still can. And then, like any good match, we head into overtime with a chaotic, off-topic debate of how to “improve” time zones.

Shout them out in the comments below like any good sports fan would! If you enjoyed the show, be sure to subscribe to us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, YouTube, or your favorite podcast app. You can also follow us on Twitter @RandomNintendo.

              • Random Nontendo: Episode 36

What they don’t tell you about being an independent podcast network is that there is no company credit card. We’ve got to pay for everything ourselves. We’ve run out of plastic forks a week ago. I’ve been eating spaghetti using my hands and using knives. Angel’s been drinking out of a cereal bowl. Jason has been using printer paper instead of paper napkins. We’ll get through it…

On this episode, BREAKING YE NEWS, Jason wants to taste it with Peacemaker, Angel plays with The Fox and The Hound, Kevin and Angel take a trip to the Entertainment District with Demon Slayer, Jason gives his read on The Book of Boba Fett, and let there be only pain when Kevin and Angel talk Venom: Let There Be Carnage.

Activision Blizzard isn’t the only thing Microsoft is taking over. The company that Bill Gates built is all over this episode of the Random Nintendo Podcast, too. We share impressions of former Xbox-exclusive indie The Artful Escape and revisit the Microsoft-owned Banjo-Kazooie within Switch Online + Expansion Pack. We then turn our attention to Microsoft’s next move, the acquisition of Activision Blizzard, and break down what it means for us gamers, for Nintendo, and for the industry as a whole. Plus, we go beyond Redmond for some light Kingdom Hearts shenanigans.

What’s your take on Microsoft buying Activision? Tell us know in the comments. If you enjoyed the show, be sure to subscribe to us on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, YouTube, or your favorite podcast app. You can also follow us on Twitter @RandomNintendo.

                                    • Random Nontendo: Episode 34

RNHQ can try all they want but they’re never getting us back. We’re indie now. That means we do what we want, when we want. And if that means having to ration a day’s worth of food across an entire week between three people, then so be it. That being said, it’d be nice to have access to RNHQ’s breakfast spread…

On this episode, Jason and Kevin hit the bullseye with Hawkeye, Arcane is way out of Angel’s league, Kevin’s Backbone One has his back, Jason and Kevin love the hateful characters of Succession, and then the whole RN crew go into the spider-verse with Spider-Man 2 and Spider-Man: No Way Home.
