Brace yourself, this episode is a big one! We’re back from E3 2017 with an absolutely jam-packed show featuring impressions, news, and even some free swag. Throughout this episode, you’ll hear our hands-on takes of Super Mario Odyssey, Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle, Splatoon 2’s new Salmon Run mode, Fire Emblem Warriors, Sonic Forces, and Runner3. We also weigh in on all the big E3 news, including the surprise comeback of Metroid, the future of amiibo, and the somewhat baffling state of third-party games on Switch. Plus, we examine how Nintendo’s ‘IP first’ strategy is shaping the Switch’s lineup and further discuss their stance on competitive play.
In the spirit of E3, we’re also hosting a giveaway! Nintendo gave out a lot of cool goodies at their booth this year, and now we’re passing along some of them to you in a special swag pack. Included in the pack (pictured below) is a Super Mario Odyssey logo pin and Cappy visor, a set of six ARMS pins, a pair of ARMS sleeves, and two Splatoon 2 Inkling pins. For your chance to win all of this, simply leave a comment at the bottom of this page telling us your favorite thing from E3. It can be a game, an announcement, or even just a moment. We’ll select the winner of the swag pack, as well as share some of our favorite entries, next episode.
