"Defund the police" is a slogan that supports diverting funds from police departments and reallocating them to non-policing forms of public safety and community support, such as social services, youth services, housing, education, healthcare and other community resources. Our team decided to do it in a podcast way for easy understanding about the current issue. We have also gathered information and ideas from different community workers including a social worker, police officer and community development workers. This episode will also give you insights about the factors that contributes to some of the violence that occurs in communities and what are the initiatives and alternatives that are taking place in order to gain back the trust of the community people towards law-enforcement officers.
