God has a purpose he is working out for the world

and this is powerfully illustrated in the life of Joseph,

when in spite of so many set backs God’s purpose was finally achieved

“The mission begins”.

The first 11 chapters in the Bible record the sad results of mankind’s rebellion against God.

But then in chapter 12 the whole mood changes and God tells Abraham that "all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.”

God’s mission to redeem and restore lost and broken humans to himself has begun.
