The cost difference between sand and artificial turf are night and day. As for longevity, sand is bound to go bad and you'll need to constantly replenish versus artificial turf. That will last few years.

Lastly, the overall appearance of our artificial turf is like a piece of Augusta year-round versus a sand bunker. That'll probably only last a couple of chips. At Back Nine Greens our golf expert, Dave Stockton Jr. has created an artificial turf that is lash and long to replicate the same bunkers that you would see at your country club.

You have the choices of Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, but the best social media for coaches is Facebook and here's why.

Facebook is meant to be social. It's based on building relationships. This social media platform is made and designed to build connections in conversations where something like Instagram is built on likes, publicity and just awareness.

And the difference is let's say you have a thousand people see, and like your stuff on Instagram. Maybe a thousand likes not bad right. Now if you get a thousand people liking something you do on Facebook, what's great about that is it encourages people to comment, to send messages and to start a real conversation.

It's designed that way. Okay. Now, as a coach, you want to start conversations with potential clients who need your help, who wants your help. And Facebook makes it the easiest. So that is the best answer.

There are lots of other sub-niches under each one of those. If you're trying to choose your coaching niche and wondering how do you choose the best one for you, start with one of those general categories, or at least narrow it down to two categories. When you start with that, you're going to become more clear, more marketable, and you'll be more memorable to your potential clients.

When you try to help everyone, or you try to be the coach that can help with anything... what ends up happening is you end up helping no one.

Maybe it's just relationships, just business, coaching, marketing, sales or something in one of those broader categories.

Then you can narrow it down and bring your own flavor, your own brand and your own style to that.

How Much Should You Charge For Coaching?

That's just to start. There's a caveat to all of this, a great place to start. It's just a hundred dollars an hour. It's really simple but here's the thing. If you charge by the hour, what is going to happen is that you will get clients that only sign up with you here and there.

That means someone signs up with you for months at a time, and you offer them a complete package of your coaching service. That includes advice, teaching, training and includes a lot of other things that allows you to be better paid. You can be paid $5,000-$10,000 or more.

If you do this right, have several pieces in place and set this up, you can serve your clients and help them get bigger results. You win because you're well paid, but equally as important is that you serve and you actually give at least the amount of value that you're being paid. If you're going to charge $5,000 and you actually provide value of $50,000 by helping someone solve a $50,000 problem or provide something that's worth $50,000 or more, that's 10 times what you charge for your package. You're going to blow your clients' minds. They're going to love you for it and they will talk and rave about you. They're going to tell other friends, their family, how amazing you are, and that turns into free marketing and free referrals for life.

That's just where you start. You should design a high value and a high priced package that serves your clients.

Do You Need A Website To Start A Coaching Business?

When you become a coach consultant, when you start any type of business, the most important thing is the product or the service that you're offering.

That means if you're a coach, your product is you. Your product is you serving clients and actually coaching or consulting them, which means the website that is advertising.

The number one thing you need to get started and do right, is become good at coaching.

Build a small reputation, even if you only help just your friends or family. To start a coaching business, you need to start by coaching people now.

And here's the funny thing. Right now in 2020, going on to 2021, a website can still work. Yes. Websites are amazing.

It's a great way for people to come and see you, learn more about you, learn what you do and potentially even buy what you do. They might sign up for your coaching, but you do not need a website to start a coaching business.

The most important thing, even if you've been at this for months or years, is to go serve clients, get some reviews and get some testimonials. I don't mean reviews on Yelp or something like that. I mean, get some testimonials from people who've had good results with you. What that is going to do is it will build your own confidence. It's also going to start to spread a good reputation about you. Your first 5 or 10 clients could come 100% just from referrals. I really mean that.

There are lots of amazing, simple marketing things that you can do that are way easier than websites.

Do You Need A Degree To Become A Coach?

And here's why when people look to you as a coach, as a consultant, this is still an unregulated field.

Now, if you were a doctor, a lawyer, you need a license. You need certification. You need, uh, a degree as well to get to that point. But with coaching, with consulting, anyone can become a coach. You could literally call yourself a coach today. You could call yourself a coach tomorrow, but here's the thing to become a successful coach, to become a coach who is well paid, who attracts great clients.

You need a skillset. First of all, you need a skill. You need to be able to help people with something. And then from there, even though you don't need a degree, you do need some sort of knowledge, some sort of expertise in an area. Now I truly believe everyone has knowledge or expertise that you could use to become a successful and thriving coach.
