Ransom Letter Radio

Told in a bleeding first person noire narrative, Benjamin Silas Foster’s Dog Days is a four part short novella that examines the thin lines between romance and obsession, free will and fate, and how a fragile human race interacts with the unfathomable; colossal and hostile creatures that subjugate their will into our lives and onto the universe itself. A cerebral horror mystery at its core, Dog Days finely interweaves Lovecraftian villains, classic jazz and hip-hop references, and a romance between a tortured investigator and a red headed bombshell on which the entire cosmic conspiracy hinges. In Dog Days, the stagnant summer air sits heavy with the smell of death, and the monsters that walk these wastelands may only be the ones that our hero has conjured herself.

When a best-selling author flees his city home for a remote hunting cabin after his affair with a prominent detective's wife comes to light, strange things begin happening within the confines of the snowed-in cabin walls. A mysterious caller assures the alcoholic writer that he is not who he thinks he is, and he can't shake the feeling that something or someone is watching him from the mirrors. In this cerebral horror story, Ernest Leonard will come to a terrifying new understanding of the fragility of the psyche, the soul, and identity itself.

Around the edges of the reality easily perceived by men seems to lurk another- A world home to entities and intelligences for which we have many names but little understanding. Reports passed down throughout history catalog a menagerie of angels, alien beings, shadowmen, sentient lights, demons, and disembodied voices who walk and stalk the plains of this alternate plane, sometimes stumbling over the borders which separate us from them and making their way into our own. One alleged diabolic denizen of the nether is said to invoke such a sense of dread and terror into those who have witnessed him that even uttering the simple moniker by which he is most known can reignite the feelings of horror long after the initial encounter has passed- The Hatman. Tonight on the return of MIKs firsthand testimonial series, Transmissions from the Abyss, we’ll hear from our very own Jamie Lee on her recurring encounters with the ominous entity himself and just how his appearance has left a lasting impact on her life and her perceptions of the unknown. In the intro to this episode we’ll also briefly touch on our own personal recent encounters of mysterious unmarked black helicopters and just how these events and others seem to indicate an ongoing communication with something larger than ourselves.

In November of 2024, residents of New Jersey began reporting a high velocity of unknown objects brazenly moving in-plain-sight and low-to-the-ground through the sky overhead. From changing shape and possessing incredible speed, to being oft-times accompanied by orbs, UFOs, and black helicopters, suspicions began to mount quickly that the so called ‘drones’ were not as they seemed. In the following months, inexplicable aircraft began being seen around the United States and the world. Though the enigma has now been firmly cemented in the heart of the public, this is far from the first time that mystery drones have been spotted en masse. Tonight on MIK, Ben and Jamie provide a brief recap of the most recent global incursions before bringing it home to Kentucky, to discuss the local 2019-2021 flap, and their own personal encounters with high strangeness phenomena wrapped in drone’s clothing. From strange coincidences and possible coverups to psyonic craft manipulating witness perception- and just what are the Future Farmers’ of America up to? Hear it all tonight on ‘Juss Dronin’ the return of Midnight in Kentucky!
