I over apologize a lot. As far as I can figure, it boils down to my need to make other people approve of me, and my lack of self worth.
If the apology is not followed by action to rectify it, it is useless. Often, when I am sorry, I do nothing to change myself to avoid whatever it was I apologized for from happening again.
Do I need to change? Often times, I do not. Which begs the question: Why apologize at all?
