Ranters Nation Network

At this point in 2002 the WWE was in a talent transition as we started to see some of the older talent leave and the younger talent start they journey in the company.  The main event was the perfect example of that as Brock Lesnar put his undisputed championship on the line against the Undertaker inside Hell in the Cell.  RJ and Dave have plenty to rant about this event but as they got to the main event they put it over as much as they could; because the match is one the you have to see.

Deonna Purrazzo started in Northern New Jersey and made her way to the main event of Hard to Kill 2022 vs Mickie James in a Texas Death Match.  This match was the first time a Knockouts match main evented an IMPACT pay per view.  Her career was filled with some trials and tribulations as Deonna did it all.  From NXT to the main WWE roster and then to ROH where she revitalized the women's division.  However, come May of 2020 she made an impact when she received a call from Madison Rayne asking her to come to IMPACT; and as people say the rest is history.  Deonna Purrazzo hit the ground running and has never looked back; facing the likes of Madison Rayne, Mickie James, Jazz, ODB, Melina, and Jordynne Grace to name a few.  Deonna can do it all in the business and thats why she is one of the best women wrestlings in the business today.

At this time in 2001 the Invasion angle between WWE and WCW/ECW was starting to run its course.  No Mercy demonstrated that to be the fact as well; many things not making sense (ie Hardys defending their WCW Tag Titles.) The final to matches of this event were for the WCW and WWE titles respectively as Rock defended his WCW title against Chris Jericho and Steve Austin defended his WWE title against Kurt Angle and RVD.  As an event this show was decent on the whole but if you read into it most of it just didn't make sense.  Find out what Justin and RJ have to rant about this week

Dave, RJ, and Justin continue their month of ranting about No Mercy pay per views for WWE.  We are fully involved in the Monday Night Wars here in 1999 as No Mercy comes to you from the Gund Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. Before 18,742 fans this WWE pay per view was a great event from top to bottom. However there was plenty to rant about; find out what RJ, Dave, and Justin have to say about this pay per view as they also add more feuds to their rankings.

After a month of WCCW we are now onto WWE.  Fifthteen years ago today WWE brought you No Mercy from the Allstate Arena before 12,500 fans in Rosemont, Illinois.  AT this time in the company Triple H was in a great storyline with Mr. McMahon who forced him to wrestle three times on this card. He won the WWE title from the appointed Randy Orton (in place of a injured John Cena) in the opening match then defended against Umaga then Orton again in the main event in a Last Man Standing Match.  In addition to that the rest of the event is a surprisingly good pay per view outside some no needed in ring and backstage segments.  Find out what Dave, RJ, and Justin had to say about that and so much more!!! We also add three more rivalries to our rankings as well.

This week is the culmination of our month of WCCW. This week is the shot heard around the world when the freebirds turned on the Von Erichs and thus elevated them for years to come.  The cage match between Ric Fair and Kerry Von Erich for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship delivered on every level possible and more. We are thrilled to welcome Top Gal Amy back to the show to watch this match with us as well as adding some much needed opinions to our Rivalry rankings as well.

Samoa Joe has been the man in every promotion he has been in since he debuted in professional wrestling.  From ROH to TNA to WWE, and now in AEW Samoa Joe has done it all in the business.  As a multiple time champion Joe has taken his skills all over the country and the world.  For almost a decade Joe ran all over the TNA roster before making his move to NXT/WWE.  Brian remembers some of the good times with Joe as well as some great stories from the Samoan Submission Machine. Brian also remembers the match he worked with Joe when he took on Austin Aries at Slammiversary 10.
