In addition to 16 new BRAVIA displays — in three new product lines — Sony has decided to focus its in-booth virtual (XR) production set on corporate and live event production rather than Hollywood-style set design. This will be exciting for AV integrators since this is the application we would be more likely to sell. In addition to XR production and the new LCDs, Sony will show the latest Crystal LED — the BH and CH-Series — and a new 27” version of its spatial reality display, too! My latest pre-InfoComm-2023 videocast features Audio-Technica’s Mark Donovan, applications engineering manager. To do a real-time, live demo of both products being highlighted in booth #3554 at InfoComm 2023. First, you see and hear the Audio-Technica Engineered Sound Wireless system including Mark switching between each of the four transmitters (mics) in real-time. Then, Mark switches to the ATND1061, a beamforming ceiling array microphone — that’s only 9” x 9” — that’s aimed as a solution for conference rooms, boardrooms and meeting spaces large and small. We also talk about how CrimsonAV will be in booth 1674 at InfoComm, and will demo new QSR mounting and kiosk solutions — indoor and outdoor — as well as its personalized, educational-based LED mounting support for AV integrators. CrimsonAV is a brand you will clearly hear more from, and this is worth watching — the company is focused on higher margins in the mounting business.

Today’s pre-InfoComm-2023 videocast features PPDS‘ (aka: Philips Digital Signage) commercial vice president of North America, Nick Begleries, and Jack Boyczuk, global business manager. PPDS is on a roll after hiring some well-known talent from some other display brands — the company also recently introduced some unique products to the ProAV market, including the Tableaux (a powerless, color ePaper signage product), a 65” LCD for video walls and WAVE, a cloud-based management platform for its display. At IC23, the company will focus on bridging and building relationships in North America. As an example, PPDS is opening regional “studios” around the country and is focused on integrator margins; watch this and learn more!
