Raphael is an educator with a mission. It is his primary goal to provide the best socialised and supportive form of education to as many kids as he can. He is vocal, active and reflective. Working at a school in Berlin which follows the methods of Maria Montessori, Raphael has found a place where he can work among diverse children and bring to their lives the kind of experimental openness that allows them to create friendships with one another as well as giving them the freedom to express their individuality.

He is also passionate about sports and the importance of physical education for a healthy body and a keen mind. Being able to deal with the rigors of life demands more from our children than is currently provided for in many curricula around the world. We need to encourage our children to seek active lifestyles so as to prevent them from encountering poor health too early in their adult lives.

Raphael is also concerned about some of the people kids pick as role-models. As parents, we need to be more involved in the lives of our children, more understanding, more tolerant and more supportive but also steadfast in communicating acceptable behaviour.

There remains so much to talk about with Raphael, but this is a great start and I am thankful for this first opportunity.
