In this episode we discuss the Raptors games against the Brooklyn Nets and the Atlanta Hawks. Taking down Harden, Kyrie, and Durant seemed to be a scary task, but KD got in problems with contact tracing. We couldn’t handle the Hawks’ offence though, as Trae Young and Capela had their way. The Toronto Raptors sweep the Orlando Magic double-header in exciting fashion as Fred VanVleet dropped an astonishing 54 points on 17/23 shooting, including 11 threes. He broke the Raptors’ franchise record for most points scored by a player in a single game, and also broke the franchise record for the most threes in a half. He even holds the record for the most points scored by an undrafted player in a single NBA game. The Toronto Raptors lose two more games, one against the Milwaukee Bucks, and the other against the Sacramento Kings. They now fall to 12th in the Eastern Conference with a 7-12 record. We are very disappointed with the team’s performances over these 2 games. Nick Nurse’s rotations have seemed to put our players in difficult situations that they aren’t accustomed to, ultimately fuelling our loss. They are looking a bit better, their offence is finally coming back to them, after the starters all had good nights versus the Phoenix Suns.
