It's gonna be wild next year as the organizers of E3 and Summer Game Fest are gearing up for a head-on clash. Also in the news, Sega announces new multiplayer shooter game Hyenas from Alien: Isolation Studio, Microsoft is dealing with an Xbox Series X controller shortage, Skull and Bones re-reveal, gameplay, and release date and not to be outdone by last week, the most popular game franchises by state on episode 322.

Dan and Dave can't believe how long it's been since Final Fantasy VII graced the PlayStation 1. They go over all the news from the Square-Enix FF themed event. Also in the news, the Grammys will finally recognize video game music in their next awards show, Xbox reportedly turned down a PGR reboot and the most popular consoles by state on episode 321.

E3 may have been cancelled this year but we still got all the presentations and showcases that we could ask for. Dan is back from vacation and boy did a lot happen in a week. Sony kicks off what would be known as E3 season and they come out swinging. Some PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium games confirmed, Square Enix to make a big announcement about Final Fantasy VII at the 25th anniversary presentation and Death Stranding may be getting a sequel.
