In an effort to avoid what it actually means to be a Republican, candidates are trying to brand themselves as some other type of Republican. It leaves the rest of us to ask, "Why not just be a Republican?" There's the "Common Sense Republicans," "Real Republicans" and now, "Rational Republicans." It's funny, these are the same folks asking you to reject labels and focus on issues. Then why don't they?
