a techno live set i played for practice at home. after a long break in modular i felt the itch and compiled a compact 6u/104hp techno system (https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/2440622) from my bigger 12u/104hp system.

the recording has a thick noise floor, it's clipping in some places, and i messed up ... but it was fun.

i made some visuals for it and performed the vj set in resolume area. it's busy, it's glitchy, it's colourful. oh, and don't watch this if you're sensitive to flickering images. seriously: don't.

a very normal monday morning way to the office.

a fun little sound design/video project idea that i finally made.

Here's a a recording of my live coding stream for the TOPLAP solstice stream 2023. Sorry for the bad quality - seems I need to work with higher bit rates for these kinds of visuals.

I was using Tidal Cycles for the music and Resolume Arena for the visuals, although I didn't get to do much with the visuals during the stream. Turns out live coding music doesn't leave much time for controlling visuals.

Track made in Renoise, mixed and mastered in Logic.

For the video I made some hand drawn animations with Looom on the iPad and used them as a mask in Resolume Avenue over a glitched video of a fashion show. I added some effects in Resolume, recorded several versions and edited it all in Final Cut.
