A poem about emperors pope's and kings who believe themselves to be the devine demagoguery even as children they  had whipping boys  to take away their punishment and guilt, sacred scapegoats for them to stripe and slaughter ; If a devine deity did arrive on planet earth these mobsters and megalomaniacs would soon see them quickly murdered .

  • IMMORTALITY
The only true miracle that we mortal beings are likely to see comes in the form of our genetic immortality that gene transfer continuum better known to you and me as a baby,
Throughout the humans brief biological history it has believed in many a different sherman deity an Divinity ranging from Greek gods to our present day Corpus Christi,
But when it comes to the real miracle making capability then it's the female of our species that is graced with the life giving fertility.
This poem is written for a close friend of mine who described the birth of his baby daughter as quite devine he said she resembled a blue Budda of death an then suddenly gasped and bloomed into life by taking her first extrauterine breath .

  • THE PRODIGAL SON
It's very difficult to understand the parable of the prodigal son but you must not forget what you're dealing with is someone just above a bowery Street bum , who will squander everything and leave you in distress and destitution then they will move on to find more money to squander on piss and prostitution.

  • THE RED WINE IDEALIST
I asked of a dear priestly friend of mine about the catholic communion red wine stating "if it be the blood of Christ how come it strengthens the sinners and weakens the saints" ? he was quite taken aback but then again both of us were rafting on the stuff at the time. The second haiku poem is about a quotation from George Carlin that my artist campanion mentioned to me his quotation or, that cynics are disappointed idealists, I retorted back to save a smattering of honour telling him that idealists pontificate from their privileged positions of freedom .

  • COVID CONFUSION
Wearing masks in the covid-19 is causing terrible conversational confusion, whilst at a recent coffee bar I was listening to two  old English people speaking from behind masks to a young Portuguese girl the simple order turned into a comedy of errors  or Covid Confusion it didn't help by stating on the menu that kids eat for free after three, you're asking for your metaphors to be mixed it's so difficult , remembering when first i went to France and tried to buy a 2 CV car the woman's daughter went in the house and brought me out two lemons I had pronounced slightly wrong the translation of Citroen as citron its so easy done with or without masks .

  • REVOLUTION
Sooner than later we as a species will have to address our crazy situation of over population , due to land perishing and pollution in the final stages we may very well end up as refugees building our own blood lined barricades of revolution .

  • OUI
Le poeme en francais the language of love. Forgive my French it's been twenty-five years since I was there. A poem about love and women should always be in the feminine form hence why I use La poeme instead of Le masculine ,it sounds and lends it's self much more to L'amour which of course can be masculine in the singular or feminine in the plural. Entree L"androgyne et l"ambiguite'
