Remember: It’s okay to not be okay. But it’s not okay to go through it alone.
This one’s not easy and it’s not supposed to be.
We sat down to talk about what most men will never say out loud. The thoughts they carry in silence. The moments they break behind closed doors. The pain they’ve buried for years.
This isn’t just about mental health this is about survival.
This is about the moment you look in the mirror and don’t recognize the man staring back.
This is about the weight you’ve been carrying so long, it feels normal now.
This is for the ones who’ve been holding it in for too long.
We dive into:
The real reason so many men are dying emotionally and spiritually
Why silence is killing us more than the struggle itself
What real healing actually looks like without the mask
The stories that pull us back from the edge
And how we start changing things — one honest conversation at a time
If you’ve ever felt like you had no one to talk to this episode is for you.
We’re not experts. We’re just two men who’ve been through it, and want to talk about it. Unfiltered. Real. Raw.

In this gripping episode of Raw Minds Podcast, Erick welcomes Steve from @MenThriveDaily, a man whose life was shattered by a traumatic brain injury and who chose to rebuild it with fire and faith. After being struck by a drunk driver and left on the side of the road, Steve faced years of loss, pain, and unanswered questions. But instead of giving up, he leaned into the chaos, found God, created a farmland to feed the struggling, built housing for the homeless, and launched a mental health movement on TikTok that’s helped save lives.
Steve shares raw truths about post-traumatic growth, the battle with invisible injuries, losing his identity and finding a new one through purpose, painting, and pouring love back into his community. Erick opens up too, drawing powerful parallels between his own journey after loss and the mission behind Raw Minds: to ensure no one feels alone in their darkest moments.
This one’s for the underdogs, the fighters, and the ones who’ve been counted out. It's about grit you can’t teach, hope you can’t fake, and a community that’s showing up for each other one raw story at a time.
