#48 - On April 15, 2005, Centre County District Attorney Ray Gricar told his girlfriend he was going for a drive. He never came home.

A respected prosecutor with a successful career, Ray was just months away from retirement when he seemingly vanished without a trace. Days later, his red Mini Cooper was found abandoned in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania. His cellphone was inside. Ray was nowhere to be found.

Then came an even stranger discovery.

Months after his disappearance, a laptop belonging to Ray was recovered from the Susquehanna River. The hard drive had been intentionally removed. When investigators later found the hard drive itself, it was too damaged to recover any data, leaving one of the most important pieces of evidence forever out of reach.

Was Ray Gricar the victim of foul play? Did he choose to disappear and start a new life? Or did he take his own life, leaving behind a mystery that would endure for decades?
