  • Lisa Burnett, RD - Cleveland Clinic
Each and every start of a year, citizens across the globe vow to cut the carbs, lose, weight, and get back in shape. However, many try and fail to maintain that mindset, sometimes even a week into the new year.
Lisa Burnett is a registered dietician with the Cleveland Clinic, and she joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to talk about proper eating habits for 2021. Burnett says the key to eating healthy is to consume “real foods,” which are fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and proteins, and to stay away from the processed, or “fake,” foods. Rather than long-term fasting, she recommends eating every three to four hours, and to make sure those foods have some source of protein.
Many foods are loaded in sugar, and sometimes they are hidden in small print on the labels. If one has a craving for sugary foods, she suggests fruit to stave off the sweet tooth.

  • Ren Camacho - Akron-Canton Airport
The airports and the airlines suffered major hits in 2020 with the pandemic, but could 2021 be a year for optimism?
Ren Camacho is the president and CEO of the Akron-Canton Airport, and he joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to talk about air travel both local and beyond. With the vaccines being distributed, Camacho believes there may be “pent-up demand” for leisure travel as the warmer months approach, though with video conferencing software, business travel continues to stay down.
The CAK CEO touched on what his airport has done to keep passengers safe, from additional sanitization to air purification.
