Talks are continuing inside the halls of Akron Public Schools about the potential for a blended education. If those talks and everything else go to plan, November 9th will be the first day.
David James, the soon-to-be-retiring superintendent at Akron Public Schools, joined the Ray Horner Morning Show to preview what a blended education may look like. If implemented, student bodies will be split in half due to classroom space for social distancing, where half will go into the building Monday and Wednesday, with the other half attending Tuesday and Thursday.
The school board will hold another meeting on Monday to see where everyone is at, as well as the direction the county is in with coronavirus cases. James also discussed the feedback he has received from the parents and faculty on the scholastic year thus far.
