Known for releases on Apron, Misterio and Stillove4Music, Devin Dare join RNT with a 4-tracker of straight dance floor heat. The production alias of NYC's @dj-duane-harriott and Sean Marquand, Devin Dare produce disco edits with a driving, almost techno-like sensibility, and this 12' showcases their ability to coax every last drop of energy from a chopped and looped sample. From the rolling thump of 'Clash and Burn,' to the percussive and bass-driven 'Stop,' the low-slung gospel organ groove of 'Dust,' to the explosive and exuberant 'KOHO2' this record pretty much defines what a rework can, and should be. In a word, PROPER!

Started as a passion project of label heads Aaron Dae and JKriv in 2011, RNT has now established itself as the preeminent dancefloor edits label, and 'Fifty Discos Deep' includes offerings from many of the producers whose releases have contributed to RNT's journey. From Dimitri from Brooklyn, to Eli Escobar, Joey Negro, Jacques Renault and more, this triptych delivers a who's who of disco dons, and a complete set of party-rocking heat across 12 tracks. With beautiful packaging showcasing the entire RNT catalog (designed by the multi-talented Al Kent!) and a classic Bill Bernstein photo gracing the cover, this release is collectible, functional, and absolutely essential!

Boogie from the 'Burgh! RNT breathes new life into their 45 series with a boom-bap-laden 7' from Pittsburgh's Buscrates. A pitched down lead vocal, crisp drum programming and slinky synth work demonstrates that Mary Jane (not cocaine) is a helluva drug on the A side's 'Main Thing.' On the flip, 'F.T.F. (Freak The Funk)' explores a familiar sample from the golden era of hip-hop, recontextualized in vocoded synths, funky wah-wah clavinet, and shimmery strings layered perfectly over a pulsating disco groove. RNT 45 is back, and straight into the bag!

The record opens with the lush ‘Searching for Your Love,’ layering jazzy electric piano and a haunting melan-cholic vocal over a driving broken groove. Slowing down briefly for the lowdown and dirty funk of the eponymous track of the record, we’re quickly back in bumping club territory on the bass-heavy pulse of ‘What It Is,’ and the classic sample-house sound of ‘You Can’t Stop The Profit’ takes the EP home. A beautifully crafted, and truly unique 12” from beginning to end!
