Years ago, I casually shared what I do for a living on social media, not realizing I was stepping into the early days of what would become modern social media marketing. Back when Facebook had just launched, I had just entered the car sales world and simply wanted my friends and followers to know I was their go-to guy for a new vehicle. I started posting photos of cars, keys, and myself, inviting anyone in the market to reach out. My career took off—and I never looked back.

When Facebook introduced video, I was quick to adapt. Every time a new platform appeared, I jumped on early to build momentum. Then came TikTok. I wasn’t there to dance—I was there to create fun, engaging content about what I do. That approach to blending entertainment with sales spread quickly and helped shape a new way of selling online.

And it all started on my small island of Trinidad and Tobago.
