Welcome to S1E19 In the Hands of the Prophets. In this episode of DS9, we meet Vedek Winn, also known as Evil Winn on this podcast. She's come to the station to push church into Keiko's school and shout "blasphemy" at anyone who will listen. She is not nice and she causes lots of chaos.

This is a dense episode and we have a lot to talk about (you won't believe how much we edited OUT of this long episode)! Yes, there is the big topic of the separation of church and state when Evil Winn turns up to accuse Keiko of blasphemy! There is also a murder mystery going on in the background as Miles searches for a lost security tool that has disappeared into a pile of goo that may or may not have been a Starfleet ensign that we've never heard of before. We meet Neela, a misguided zealot who also is a good engineer and Vedek Barile who casts a very dull shadow next to Louise Fletcher's frightening portrayal of Evil Winn.

It's a re-watch of a thing you've already seen but love to watch and talk about. We go deep with every episode, walking you through every scene and analyzing all of the characters and story lines.
