Good morning, beloved brethren in Christ,
Today, I want to share with you a message titled "The Power of Expectation," which is drawn from Proverbs 11:23. This verse says, "The desire of the righteous ends only in good, but the expectation of the wicked in wrath."
Expectation is a powerful force that drives us toward our goals and dreams. It is the fuel that propels us forward and helps us stay focused on the prize. Our expectations shape our beliefs, attitudes, and actions, and they have a profound impact on our lives.
As Christians, our expectations should be grounded in righteousness and faith. We should expect good things to happen to us because we serve a good God who delights in blessing his children. However, if we have wicked expectations, we will only reap negative consequences.
The power of expectation is seen in the lives of many people in the Bible. Abraham expected God to fulfill his promise of a son, and he became the father of many nations. Hannah expected God to give her a child, and she gave birth to Samuel, one of the greatest prophets in Israel's history. The woman with the issue of blood expected to be healed by touching Jesus' garment, and she was instantly cured.
These examples show that our expectations can shape our destiny. When we expect good things, we position ourselves to receive them. When we expect bad things, we open ourselves up to negative outcomes.
So, what should we expect as Christians? We should expect God's favor, blessings, and provision. We should expect to walk in divine health, joy, and peace. We should expect to fulfill our God-given purpose and make a positive impact in the world.
Beloved brethren, let us align our expectations with God's word and will. Let us expect good things to happen in our lives, and let us trust in God's faithfulness to bring them to pass. As we do so, we will experience the power of expectation and see God's goodness manifest in our lives.
May the Lord bless you and keep you. Amen.
