Merlin Miller begins a short, 3 week series focused on stewardship. This first one will focus on establishing a foundation and basis for the concept of stewardship, along with some overarching principles from Scripture that demonstrate our understanding of this topic.
Believers are called to test every teaching, influence, and worldview against Scripture rather than accepting what merely sounds right or feels good. The message emphasizes that truth is found in Jesus Christ and God's Word, not in culture or personal opinion. Because false teaching can appear convincing while subtly distorting the gospel, Christians are encouraged to follow the example of the Bereans by carefully examining everything in light of Scripture. The remedy for deception is not fear, but remaining firmly grounded in Christ, His truth, obedience, and love. The central question is: "Which voice am I listening to?" as the Spirit of Truth always leads us back to Jesus and His Word.
Merlin Miller preaches a special sermon from Acts 13:2-3 in honor of commissioning, baptism and Communion. This short Bible text contains the pivotal words Set Apart & Called that propelled Paul and Barnabas on their first missionary journey.

Merlin Miller returns to the Gospel of Mark series, with this 41st sermon titled "What do you want me to do for you?" taken from Mark 10:35-45. This text serves as a bookend to the upside down nature of the kingdom that was demonstrated in previous texts and as a transition to the final teachings and events in Jesus' earthly life.
Every day, we present the version of ourselves we want the world to see. Yet, scripture reminds us that God does not look at our well put together lives outwardly but the unfiltered condition of our hearts.
Merlin Miller returns to the Gospel of Mark series with this 40th sermon titled The gospel of the upside down kingdom, taken from Mark 10:32-34. For the third time Jesus clearly states what awaits him in Jerusalem, yet to the disciples amazement (and fear) he continues to lead them that direction. The upside down-ness of this pulls at all of us, and yet it is precisely this "good news" that we are to receive and to proclaim!
