The fall season marks the kickoff period when high school seniors begin preparing and submitting college applications. To help guide them through this process, students rely on the experience of our school counselors, who play a central role in offering support. Tune in to learn more.
The month of August is officially recognized as the start ofback-to-school season. We are talking with educators and administrators about the excitement that centers around this time of year, as well as new guidelines for the use of mobile electronic devices and electric bikes and scooters.
Since 1973, Rochester Community Schools has been offering Broadway-style productions through its Summer Music Theatre program. A different theatrical production is offered each year, providing students with the opportunity to study the process on stage, in the pit, and behind the scenes.
Each year, student council leaders from Adams, Rochester and Stoney Creek high schools organize a combined Charity Week to raise money for a cause that’s important to them. In 2026, RCS donated over $86,000 to Samsmile for mental health advocacy and suicide prevention efforts.
