We are joined in this episode by Daire Dempsey (they/them) who is the Policy Officer for the Transgender Equality Network Ireland (TENI). Daire is extremely educated when it comes to equality and inclusion for the trans and non-binary community, and gives extremely practical and sound advice in how we can support our trans and non-binary siblings.

Daire, Feargh and Karen discuss the importance of pronouns and freedom of gender expression, before Daire shares their experience of being a vital part of the Entheos training and the long way we have to go in relation to trans and non-binary rights, in particular with healthcare.

In this episode, one of the Entheos celebrants, Priyangee Guha (she/they) joins Karen and Feargh to chat about how she discovered Entheos, why she decided to train with the organisation and how she wants to show up as a celebrant in the world.

Priyangee, or more affectionately known to her colleagues as Pri, is neurodivergence and offers an insight to how we can create a safe space in ceremony and the training for all people.

Karen and Feargh were delighted to be joined by HIV activist, Pozvibe podcast host and beacon of light Robbie Lawlor for a chat about stigma, activism and love.

Robbie is a fountain of wisdom and knowledge when it comes to the legacy and advancements around HIV and AIDS. He talks about testing, medicine, his phd, fighting stigma, his own journey and how is has come to find the joy in his incredible life.

Robbie is proudly a co-founder of Access to Medicine Ireland and a member of the European AIDS Treatment Group. He tells us all about the work he does in these areas.

We were so delighted to welcome James O'Hagan from LGBT Ireland to the podcast for our second Pride episode.

James talks to us about the queer death cafes which he is heavily involved in organising. He introduces the queer death cafes, what you can expect from attending one and the topics that come up during the sessions.

He also shares with us what he has learnt from the older queer community, discrimination within the queer community, what changes he hopes his work will support and so much more.

Happy Pride month everyone!

For Pride month, Karen and Feargh are placing the focus on the LGBTQ+ community. In this episode, they introduce Entheos' community incentive 'Died With Pride' which celebrates queer lives lead by queer and ally celebrants, especially in memorialising queer peoples lives. Karen and Feargh are joined by fellow Entheos celebrant, LGBTQ+ activist and social media presence Ranae von Meding to discuss the importance of community in life and ceremony. Community is another important foundation that Entheos is built upon.

Ranae has a religious background as part of her upbringing. She stepped away from the religious background as some of her values did not align with the church she was a member of. However, she missed the community aspect, especially when she welcomed her girls Ava and Arya with her wife Audrey. Entheos has given Ranae a community which she is proud to be part of and celebrates her life and values. Ranae speaks openly about her journey and why community is important to her.

In the second episode of Re-imagining Ceremonies: A podcast by Entheos, Karen and Fearghal discuss end of life marriages and baby/infant funerals, and the importance of holding that space as a celebrant for families. These two types of ceremonies and being of service during these difficult times are fundamentals of Entheos and training to be an Entheos celebrant.

As part of Entheos, baby/infant funerals are held under Lara's Legacy and end of life marriages are held under Grá go Deo. The aim of these community initiatives from Entheos is to take the burden of finance and the burden of decision-making from the families during this difficult time.

Please be cautious when listening to this episode as it explores themes around death, end of life marriages and baby/infant funerals.
