NYT Podcast The Daily put out an episode a few days ago titled: Marriage and Sex in the Age of Ozempic.
A bunch of you sent me this episode of me to check out. I am gonna be honest, never have I felt a podcast episode had so much cross over in the venn diagram of things I like to talk about. (You can check out the episode here: The Daily)
The episode interviewed a couple whose relationship dynamic was totally turned upside down when one of them lost a significant amount of weight on Ozempic. While Rachael Abrams and guest Lisa Miller did a great job highlighting the unforeseen impact these drugs are having on romantic relationships, the couple still seemed at a loss to how they got here, and if they could get their spark back.
While I might not have all the answers, I felt compelled to share a perspective that I hope reaches this couple, and anyone else who might find it helpful.
*I also may or may not have harassed my one friend from high school who works at NYT to try to try to get this episode in the couple's hands, so I hope this reaches them <3
As always, send me your questions at [email protected]
If you’re curious what that looks like in your own life, I take on a few private clients at a time reserve a personal 1:1 coaching session with me here
