She exemplifies what a commitment to conscientiousness can bring to life – at the time of filming she was a Creative Director for 2 wellness-oriented companies, and produces her own Podcast on holistic wellness and Ayurveda. We discuss in detail the rollercoaster of her life, making sure to pull out the details of how family trauma impacted her, and depression after shedding her Silicon Valley Unicorn “golden handcuffs” were like for her, making sure to highlight practical methods to assist others in moving through similar situations.

Joe is the son of an activist and a teacher, who evolved early on from a middle-of-the-pack beach bum teen into a true go-getter. He carved out a niche in a competitive educational space, and used that as his secret sauce to garner admission into Harvard. However, Joe’s college experience was overshadowed by a painful health condition, the conflicting diagnoses of which shattered his world-view and ultimately led him to found Karuna, his health-tech startup. At just 24 years old, Joe exhibits extraordinary levels of insight, empathy, and social responsibility. He found the appearing on the podcast very integrative and therapeutic. At 35 years old, Salman Hatta has seen a thing or two. The child of 2 immigrants, he worked his way into Wharton through great diligence, and ended up working as a banker before the crash in 2008. Suspecting he was living someone else’s life, and not his own, Salman decided to seek greener pastures in the Silicon Valley tech world where he quickly learned that his place was not there either. Salman performed a leap of faith, leaving Silicon Valley to become a digital nomad before joining an organization called OneHeart that focuses on bringing plant healing to what I like to call “recovering Type-A’s.”
