“Sunday School” is a relatively new effort for the church. The term was  coined by D.L. Moody in the mid 19th Century who worked to educate  street children in Chicago in the gospel. His work has given us a simple  description of a core piece of Christian community that dates back to  the ministry of Jesus. The Bible tells us that sin holds dominion over us and forces us into slavery to it. It does this until we are set free by being connected to the death of Christ.
