Reaching Gen Y

How do we reach Gen Y? Has the ramped up culture of novelty

seeking, consumerism and sexualisation taken its toll? Do we need

new strategies or are their tried and true methods for helping to

ignite the faith of our young people? Youth Mission Team leaders

and members will share from their extensive experience.

Steve Toohey, the Director of the Youth Mission Team

Australia (YMT), with 25 yrs of youth ministry experience, will

present this workshop with the Sydney YMT. YMT runs high

school retreats and weekends for youth based on peer-to-peer

evangelisation. Operating for 27 years, there are 4 teams in

operation around Australia made up of young men and women

(age 18 - 30) who volunteer to join a team for one year.
