- Faith of Jairus - come and lay your hands on her...

- Unhealeable. Wasted all of her money on doctors. Even harmed by her doctors.

- One says, "If you lay hands on my daughter, she'll be well."

- The other - If I lay my hands on him - "I will be well."

- Christ affirms the woman - Your faith has made you well.

- Jairus - "Do not fear, only believe."

- People laugh at him.

- Raises her up.

### Truth

Christ the Son of the Most High has power over demons and over disease.

- Christ can tame the untame-able.

- He can heal the unheale-able.

#### Application

- Is your life out of control? Slave to Sin, or a slave to Christ? Are you subdued under Christ's power?

- Christ can subdue your heart, set you free from Satan's oppression.

How can I understand the Bible?

### I. The Parable of the Sower v.1-20

- insider vs. outsider

- disciples of Jesus are inside the house

- outsiders think Jesus is crazy!

- secret (singular) of the Kingdom

- understanding the parable of the sower helps us understand the other parables

KEY - The Word of God - message, scripture, gospel of the Kingdom

- our reception of God's Word - hear

- When we share God's Word ... should understand how it is received by others.

Satan can disrupt our sense of hearing God.

- meaning of God's word is hidden in order to be revealed to the one who pays attention

- seed grows of itself - the Word has generative power.

Christ rises from the dead and commissions his disciples to make disciples of all nations.
