Mayhem abounds even before the 100th running of the Indy 500 begins. After an eventful night of being stranded on the side of the road with a dead car at one in the morning, Steven Cole Smith (@RACERmag) is out at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, where he and 50,000 others are gearing up for race day. At least 300,000 more fans are expected to show up before the action starts.
