The European Union’s Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (EU CBAM) transition period imposes reporting requirements on EU importers of the goods covered by this new measure fitting with the EU’s Fit for 55 climate agenda. The first quarterly report is to be submitted by the end of January 2024, which will require manufacturers exporting the covered products to the EU to provide their EU customers with a set of carbon emissions related information about the products they sell. So, it is imperative that manufacturers have a clear understanding of the requirements and prepare themselves well for the requests their EU customers will submit. In this session, our Deloitte experts discussed about Deloitte’s Green Initiatives and general introduction to CBAM, CBAM’ implications, its Operational and strategic implications as well as how can Deloitte help. (Live presentation was aired on 24 October 2023)
