You can be denied Canadian permanent residency or immigration (which leads to citizenship) due to cancer if it causes "excessive demand" on Canada's health services.

*Bad enough to be told your a burden on your own family/village/familia 

While having cancer is not an automatic disqualification, it may lead to refusal if treatment costs are expected to exceed a certain threshold (approx. $22,000+ a year. Or a diagnosis that poses a public health risk.
