“The Holiday Kitchen” is today’s topic as cookbook author and James Beard Award winner Marlene Sorosky Gray joins Joe and Bobbi in the studio. Joe and Bobbi get to know Marlene by finding out how she went from joining a gourmet club at her kids’ elementary school to starting a cooking school out of her home and eventually ended up working with renowned chefs, Julia Child and Jacques Pepin. Linda MacKay returns to Real Estate Radio Live today and she is talking about estate planning with Mike D’Ambrosio. Linda will begin by breaking down the different parts of a living trust and what happens when an estate goes through probate court. She explains the differences between a will and a trust in terms of setup costs and court fees. Mike then asks her who needs an estate plan and when it’s time to consider setting up your own.  Linda tells us why you should review your trust every 5-7 years and not just after major changes to your family or finances before wrapping up with a disappointing story about a client who waited too long to finish his estate plan.

Mike and Linda also take a call from Raj who wants to know if he still needs to set up a trust when his adult son has been designated as the beneficiary. He also asks if a trust will allow him to help his son exercise responsibility with his inheritance.
