The Skechers Pier to Pier Friendship Walk rallies thousands every October for a fun-filled celebration at the beach, where families and friends gather to walk from Manhattan Beach Pier to Hermosa Beach Pier and back in support of our children. Since 2009, the event has raised millions of dollars to support children with special needs, public education, and our national college scholarship program.

They say patience is a virtue but I did not understand what thay really meant until I went home 37 days later from the hospital.

But with time and positive energy there is light at end of tunnel and I am grateful for my recoveryand grateful for my family. I hope there is a part of my story that resonates with someone else who can use this as a stepping stone to their own 'return to confidence' after a stroke or major health event.
