Why are we a culture without honor? Simply put—it’s because people aren't honoring God, and we are treating him as common. We are too familiar with Him. He's too ordinary. He's our 'home boy'.

But Jesus is not our 'home boy'. He is the soon-returning, ruling, reigning, King of kings, and Lord of lords. When He comes back, he's coming back with a sword. He is the righteous One who shed his blood that we would live. When we don't treat God as common or ordinary, but see him for who he is, we will honor others because his name is on our hearts.

God has us walking through the different gates of our Christian lives in order to bring us to a place of total surrender but also total obedience to His calling and His voice. There is such beauty on the side of living and loving Jesus! Every promise in the Bible is for you and for me. We are humbled so that we can be cleansed to make room for the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives.
