There is a difference between selfishness and taking care of oneself. Caring for self is to be a matter of stewardship not a hierarchy of better than/less than in comparison to others. There are many ways in which scripture speaks of caring for oneself... Whether it's referring to you recognizing your body as a temple of the Holy Spirit, the value of Resting, or the importance of managing anxiety through prayer and dependency on God.

We are to care for others in the same manner that God, our Heavenly Father, has shown through His love and care for us through adoption as sons and daughters. How wonderful it is to be a child of God. Let's care for others since He has first cared so deeply for you and me!

God's timing is perfect, and He is a God who has a plan. He knows what He is doing concerning this world, your life, when things should happen, and how to fulfill His promises. The Holy Spirit is God caring to be in the moment within our lives, with every heartbeat and with every breath you breathe!

We reflect the love and care that God has already demonstrated to us through His Creation. When we give up our anxieties and our cares to Him, in exchange, we can receive the love and care from our awesome God! He shows up and cares to be in the moment!

God is Love!!! Love must be the foundation of everything we are and everything we do. His love redeems, covers, reminds, encourages, and moves us in our walk with Jesus Christ! We must long to reflect the love of Jesus in a real and authentic way that is life changing, bringing hope, value, and purpose to the people in our community.

God is Faithful!!! His faithfulness is trustworthy and is absolute truth. You can stand firmly with full confidence that He is going to fulfill what He has promised, for He is stable and secure in His Word.

God is Good!!! The Goodness of God is to be experienced! Tasting and seeing requires engaging one's senses to fully appreciate and express how God is good. We now have the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who is indeed good to the core, setting the standard of a solid foundation of true Goodness in our lives.

God is Creator!!! We expand on how God is the Ultimate Creator and Originator. Making or creating is a part of who we are, seeded in us by none other than our God. For some, creation comes more naturally while for others it takes more work, giving time and effort to fulfill the result with purpose. When you acknowledge that God is the Creator, you are then presented the important truth that God loves you!

Resurrection Sunday, the moment that the God we serve differentiates Himself from any other god of any other religion. Our God lives and Jesus was and is victorious over death. It is because of His Resurrection we too find true victory through Him!
