This week for the Young Achiever interview podcast we met Ahana. She is a 10-year-old self-taught artist, and DIY enthusiast who is absolutely passionate about everything pertaining to art. She is a Ted Ed speaker. She loves to create art out of everyday materials and believes in the concept of trash to treasure. She is also an entrepreneur and sold lots of her works!

She has worked on an art installation called “BeeConscious” which was on display on the 26th of January 2021 at the Marina Mall Chennai. The theory behind the installation is the preservation and conservation of bees to save the world. This work of hers grabbed the attention of media and she was interviewed by many magazines.

I am Namya Joshi, I study in Grade VIII in Sat Paul Mittal School. I am the student Minecraft Mentor at Sat Paul Mittal School. I have cleared my ACE1 and ACE2 level at Adobe and got the Trendsetter badge by completing all the certifications I am a Grade IX student at Sat Paul Mittal School.

VINISHA UMASHANKAR | Children's Climate Prize 2020 | Young Achievers Interview Real life Incredibles

Vinisha Umashankar is a Grade IX student, who lives in Tiruvannamalai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the recipient of Children’s Climate Prize 2020 for her innovation, the Solar Ironing Cart. The prize was awarded by the Children's Climate Foundation, Stockholm, Sweden. It is awarded to students, who have taken extraordinary actions for the environment, climate and clean air. She was the recipient of Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam IGNITE Award in 2019 for her innovation, the Solar Ironing Cart. The award was given by National Innovation Foundation, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. She was the youngest recipient of Dr. Pradeep P. Thevannoor Innovation Award in 2019 for her innovation, the Smart Ceiling Fan. The award was given by the SCMS School of Engineering and Technology, Ernakulam, Kerala in association with Kerala Startup Mission. She has now been shortlisted for the Prime Minister of India’s Rashtriya Bal Shakti Puraskar 2021, the highest civilian award in India for students under the age of 18. She excels in both academics as well as co-curricular activities. Reading books is her favourite hobby. She likes to read the old classics, history, mystery, reference, science and technology books. She has won many elocutions, quiz, essay writing, drawing, singing, dancing and yoga competitions. She can play the electronic keyboard, ride a bicycle, do gymnastics and swim. She is learning to cook too! She likes to make pancakes and cheese toast. She loves countryside, trees, animals, birds and butterflies. She advocates everyone to grow at least a tree. Her favourite quote is “Don't watch the clock, do what it does. Keep Going” of Sam Levenson.

Aditya Prasad Goes to 7th grade in Sishya School. His interest lies in business, technology and life’s philosophies. At the age of 10, he made and sold customised labels to his friends. At 11, faced with the pandemic and online-schooling, he came out with ZiDiary, a planning and study mechanism, to improve the efficiency and experience of stay at home schooling.

* He is a fifth division high jump champion and is a record holder and has set a new record for the division.

Lauhith is a Dog blogger, dog trainer and a rescuer. It all started with him feeding the dogs in his area during lockdown. And when neighbours complained about the dogs in the area, he trained them. He is now part of a network of dog rescuers in Chennai. He also blogs about different breeds of dogs.
