Many identified with feeling burdened by the mental load of balancing competing household/relationship/work and family responsibilities. Others felt they had lost their identities along the road of becoming a mother or parent. With these complex challenges came extraordinary guilt, energy depletion, loss of patience and in some cases depression and anxiety. It was then that Janelle founded Modern Mom & Marriage Counselling and committed herself to helping mothers and couples find the joy and balance in parenting.

It’s the first week of summer vacation. How long do you have until you hear the dreaded phrase, “I’m Bored?" 

But what does it really mean? Julie and Gail shares tips on how being bored is not a bad thing, and how to change it to something we can do.

Her 20+ years in the public and private school systems both as an educator in the classroom, and as an administrator provides her with a broad experience base and unique insight when working with children and parents.
