Marty Solomon launches a new ten-week sermon series walking through the book of Hebrews. Today he looks at the first chapter, explaining how Jesus is a better Messenger — one who shows us what God is like, and provides us with a better lens through which to understand God’s story.

This week on *Footnotes, Aaron, Marty, Paule, and Derek discuss varying views of the authorship of Hebrews, Greek philosophy and its relationship to Scripture, and how to view the Old Testament properly in relation to the New Testament.

We had the privilege of experiencing our second annual NextGen Sunday today at our Moscow and Grangeville campuses, the same as Pullman’s NextGen service, which was held last week. These services highlight what’s going on in our children’s, middle school, and high school ministries, and gives our children and students the chance to get involved in making all aspects of the Sunday service happen. High School Student Coach Paule Patterson joined us once again to talk about the importance of investing in and raising up the next generation of our priesthood of believers. He challenges parents, as well as the greater church body, to seek out those who can invest in their children, as well as look for opportunities to build others’ children up.
