There are many benefits of Jesus being our High Priest. He has the power to heal us, renew our mind, and hearts. And when we seek His salvation, Jesus as our High Priest guarantees us eternal life.

Jesus Christ, as our High Priest, has put an end to all other earthly priesthood. We can only find forgiveness through Jesus Christ. And this same Jesus, who we sinned against, is the only one who paid the price to save us, to give us new life.

Jesus is the image of the invisible God, and the firstborn over all creation. This means that all of creation is under His Lordship, both in Heaven and on earth, and created for His good pleasure.

The title of Lord is also a term of respect. And, the Lord who can save us, is the Lord over all. The Bible gives Jesus other titles as well, such as the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, and the King of kings.

For Jesus to be the Christ in your life, it has to go beyond intellect and reason. It has to be by what you desire, because you have realized your need for a Savior.

The Bible, along with historical data, records the existence of Jesus. And, eye witnesses gave testimony of both His death, and resurrection. Jesus claimed to be the Christ, and His claims have never been defeated.

According to the Bible, there is only one Christ, or Messiah. What qualifies Jesus to be called the Christ? Jesus is the Christ, because He fulfilled all the prophetic scriptures found in the Old Testament, describing who the Messiah will be.

Until Jesus Christ returns, we need to keep the faith. And, when we take up the shield of faith, it wards off the temptation to sin. What is the shield of faith? It is the Word of God, and knowing it is our greatest defense.

Until Jesus Christ returns, we are to endure the hardships of this life. The fiery trials can bring us to our breaking point, but trials are the only way to reveal to us how deep our connection with God really is.

Until Jesus Christ returns, the church is to finish its mission to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the world. And, the mission becomes possible because Christ, in His love for us, laid down His life, so that we can give our lives over to God's’ will.
