The apostle Paul had a passion for walking in love, and his love for the church called out to them to do exactly the same.  The more the church walks in love, the more the evidence of God’s divine love will show in the believer’s life.   Love always makes the first move.

We are all to be imitators of Christ Many local churches working as one body, caring for one another, and working together in God’s love. Trials will come to divide and hinder us, but our hope is in Christ and His return.

Paul’s instruction to the Thessalonian Church was shown in their devotion to spreading the Gospel. The proof of their internal faith was proven by their external, public and visible work among their neighbors.

Paul suffered rejection and great physical abuse before coming to the Thessalonian church. Still, he chose to go anyway because his love towards them gave him the strength to continue with the Gospel message.

Today, Pastor Jack tells us how Paul saw the church of Thessalonica as family. He watched over them with unselfish love, and encouraged them, not just as a teacher, but as a pastor and father.
