🎙 Episode Description
Being suddenly single can feel like emotional whiplash — and money is often the first place the stress shows up
In this episode of Real Money, Real Life™, Linda Grizely sits down with Sara Zuckerman, a Certified Financial Planner® and Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®, to talk about financial planning for women who find themselves suddenly single — whether through divorce, widowhood, a major life transition, or by choice.
Sara shares what she sees most often when women are thrust into financial independence, why organization and clarity matter before big decisions are made, and how understanding cash flow, accounts, and priorities can turn fear into calm. They also discuss the emotional side of becoming financially independent, common mindset blocks women face, and why comparison and shame often keep women stuck longer than the numbers ever do.
This conversation is a grounded, practical resource for women who feel overwhelmed, behind, or unsure where to start — and a reminder that becoming independent is not a setback, but a fresh start.
