Welcome back to My Beautiful Mess w/Sybil Sinz Podcast. In this episode, I tell the story of my (Step) Dad. I truly hate the "step" part because he is just as important to me as my biological father. I refer to him as a "Real Nixxa" affectionately because he is a real as they come, and I love every part of him. He is a Powerful Black Man. 

He taught me what true balance between Black Men and Black Women looked like and showed me what life is all about; balance. My life became "normal" and I am forever grateful. He truly did save me and my mom. And every time we needed him, he NEVER failed us, NEVER!! He set the standard for all men in my life. From him, I learned that children need to be shown how relationships work if they are to truly have working relationships.

On the day of this recording, he turned 78. Happy Birthday to the realest man I've known, unapologetically Black. That's what he taught me, and I am who I am because of my Dad. Thank you! I am so proud to be your daughter.
