What is the main goal for a parent?
If you are like us you feel the immense responsibility of being a parent. We want to help our kids grow mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. The sobering reality is that we have a certain amount of years to do the best we can in all of these areas for each of our kids. Talk about overwhelming!
For us, we believe the greatest goal we can strive for is directly linked to their faith. How can we prepare our kids to have a genuine and authentic faith when they leave our homes? How can we help them not just believe in Jesus but live for Jesus?
As we teach this to our kids at any stage of their lives all of the other goals will become more attainable. Mainly because when they walk with Jesus we aren't doing this parenting thing alone. The Lord will be speaking to our kids along with us!
In this episode we share three ways we approach this. We talk about times we have failed and why we have altered our approach to ensure that our children develop an authentic first-hand faith.
Thank you for taking this journey with us! We hope to strengthen your marriage one conversation at a time. And don't forget to check out more resources at RealMarriagePodcast.com!
