have you ever found yourself wondering… “how much more of this am i supposed to take?”
like… is this bad enough to say something? bad enough to leave the room, the relationship, the friendship? bad enough to stop adjusting myself around someone else’s mood? bad enough to stop tolerating all the hurt they “didn’t mean” to cause?
because i did this all the time.
i had this invisible limit in my head for what i considered “bad enough” — and as long as things hadn’t reached that line, i’d just get upset, wait for the other person to change, and keep going.
in this episode, let’s untangle why we sometimes wait until we’re completely overwhelmed before we give ourselves permission to respond, set a boundary, or make a different choice.
i’ll share what i’ve learned about the difference between enduring and regulating, why waiting until you’re at your breaking point can leave you with fewer choices, and how learning to recognize your own baseline can help you trust yourself sooner.

occasional meltdowns are allowed. driving while activated is strongly discouraged. possible side effects include: ugly crying, rapid pacing, rage-cleaning, sending a 14-paragraph message, and temporarily believing the chaos in your head is as big as the whole universe. for best results: regulate first. decide later.
