  • Teacher Salaries Should Be Based On Results
Nothing bothers me much more than the mindless narrative of "teachers are uderpaid." The truth is two pronged and the solution is apparent. But is anyone willing to talking about it in an honest way? Heck no! Tribalism at its best going on here!

  • Focus Is The Key For Conservatives Into 2020
There is whispering in some of the conservative camp that 2020 seems a lock for the Republican president. But 2016 should teach us the very important lesson that there is no way to really tell what to expect. Now with over 20 Democrats vying for their patry's nomination it is going to be more and more difficult to keep focused.
We must decide what the key points of what we are looking for and hold on to them. Every debabe with friends, family and co-workers is a chance to practice staying on point. It is the only way we are going ot be able to express a conservative view into the national narrative. For me"
    1. The Economy is a key point. I work in a profression that people will only pay for if they feel they have extra money to spend. So For me they have to be employed.
    2. Taxes are also important as is connects to my first point.
    3. Abortion is important to me has a human Rights Issue
    4. School Choice is vital for breaking the cycle of poverty and despair in the urban community.

  • Florida Has A Full Blown School Voucher Program
    This week in Florida:
Up to 18,000 students can enroll in the program's first year from families with annual incomes at 300% of federal poverty guidelines. For a family of four, that means those making no more than $77,250. The number of students who can participate could rise in future years.
DeSantis and GOP lawmakers say the program gives parents more school choice for their children, especially those in districts where local public schools are failing and those who have special issues that can be better addressed in a different education setting.
"I personally believe, as a matter of philosophy, that parents know what's best for their kids," the governor said. "What this will do, in one fell swoop, you're offering opportunity for thousands and thousands of low-income students."

  • I'm Still Standing - 11 years and counting
March 25th 2008 was the date of my first show here on BLOGTALKRADIO. It has been more than 11 years and I am still here. Through all of the changes and turns both good and bad on this platform I am still here. Through all of the callers and andbeing called every name in the book for simply having an opinion and maybe a view different from what others believe I should. It has been quite a learning experience.
Doing this show helped me to get a brokered radio program ( that was a hard lesson)
Tonight I think I will share my experience here on BTR

  • Glad That Some of Y'all Made It To The Party
There seems to be a lot of people of color ( I hate that term) that are now asking questions about the Democrat party and liberalism in general now. They are all over all of the social media platforms. They are making videos and getting 1000's of subscribers. They are all taking their turn being the "toast of the town."
I am not envious, I am just tired. There have been some of us on the front lines for a number of years and have to wonder aloud what took so long, what changed, and why now?

  • The Return To the Conservative Underground
Every day we find out that access to and through social media is becoming more and more difficult. All of the major social media outlets are openly hositle to conservatives and conservative views. FaceBook, Twitter, and YouTube have banned, shadow banned, throttled, and demonetized numerous conservative enities in the past 10 years.
So it seems that the only way forward at least in the meantime is to take a step back. Technoloicaly speaking.
We may have to get back a more direct communication method, email and websites.

  • My Interview with Stacy White
A great deal has been said and written about the sales tax increase here in Hillsborough County since it was passed in Novemeber of 2018. Hillsborough County Commissioner Stacy White actually filed a lawsuit to challenge the legality of this measure. This of course created a malstrom in local media and government. Today I sat with commisioner White to let him tall his side of the story as it concerns the measure and his lawsuit.
