In 2008 with the election of president Obama it seemed to me that the entire spectrum of politcal thought would finally be open to Black Americans. 

Not only were Black American that had always identified as Republicans were surfacing, Black Americans that were self-identified as conservatives began to have a voice on the political scene.

This was a good thing and very important to the health of Urban America.

Now there would be real conversation on the direction of these communities by the people that lived in them.

But seven years later the movement and most of the people in it have return to annonimity. What a great missed opportunity.

Let's talk about how and why and if there is anything we can do about it. Or if there is anything we should about it.

Black Lives Matter Activist shows of a a gathering for the 49 people murdered in the attack of the PULSE nightclub in Orlando Florida Sunday morning.  She starts her remarks with she is nervous because there are so many White people here. 

I get it, you see a large crown and a national spotlight, you want to spew your agenda to a captive audience. BUT, 49 people were murdered and more may die. This is more serious than you trigger warning, micro-aggression bullshit. This is real life and death. 

To show up and spew discord at a time and in a place where people are just start the healing process is a dick move. Completley selfish and self absorbed. Didn't your mother tell you there is a time and a place for everything?!? And this was neither the time or place!
