In 2008 with the election of president Obama it seemed to me that the entire spectrum of politcal thought would finally be open to Black Americans.
Not only were Black American that had always identified as Republicans were surfacing, Black Americans that were self-identified as conservatives began to have a voice on the political scene.
This was a good thing and very important to the health of Urban America.
Now there would be real conversation on the direction of these communities by the people that lived in them.
But seven years later the movement and most of the people in it have return to annonimity. What a great missed opportunity.
Let's talk about how and why and if there is anything we can do about it. Or if there is anything we should about it.
