The key is in who or what we boast in. On the battlefield, the giant Goliath boasted in his strength and his ability. Goliath boasted about himself. However, David recognized that boasting for what it was and boasted in God. Boasting is not all wrong. We need to be careful who or what we are boasting about and where our focus is landing. God designed you in Heaven in His design shop. From our vantage point, one can say that He drew up the blueprints for you and added all the notes and technical information. He determined the color of eyes that you would have and the color of your hair. He decided where you would be born and the color of your skin. He carefully wove together the specific strands that would be your DNA. He determined your purpose and packed you with potential before you took your first breath. 

Have you become discouraged because you cannot do all the things that Jesus did? An infant cannot yet walk or run, yet they contain the potential to run great distances. However, the only way they will get there is to roll over, crawl, walk, run, and learn to run the distance. As this growth takes place, they are bound to fall at times. If the child stays down, they will never learn to run. God has put a deposit, or a seed, within you designed for massive growth. We cannot afford to forget the end goal as we navigate the growth process.
